Los Angeles, California
So how long have you been b-boying?
Since 1995, yeah I'm old. fuck off.
Why did you choose b-boying and not dj'ing or one of the other elements of hip-hop?
I think because I grew up poor and didn't have the $$$ for equipment, I did graffiti growing up too but all that took was stealing spray paint from Autozone or coming up on streaks at school from other homies.
What crews or crew are you currently representing?
Mighty Zulu Kingz
I know you and Casper have thrown jams, like "Floorider" being one of the latest ones. Are there any other ones in the works?
No, we don't have anything on the works... Maybe another floorider next year... hopefully a "Break and Skate" jam??? Breaking and skating competition... together, I think that'l be ill.
I know that lately you have been on many trips across the world doing shows and also have some episodes on the new LXD series on Hulu dropping soon, how do you manage time to practice and get some rest?
When I'm out doing a show or filming something, you really sit there and repeat the same moves... different angles and shit, u really don't get to vibe out or enjoy ur dance... so when I'm not shooting or working, I really get to do me. That's when I feel the best. No cameras, no crowds, just me and my crew, in a private setting. That's what it's all about. fuck hollywood!
I hear you're tattooing now. How is that going for you?
Tattooing is goin' well... I'm learning a lot of stuff and I'm feeling more and more comfortable to just drop anything... Whoever is reading this... I wanna tattoo ur moms. :)
Where can people go to find out more on your upcoming jams, funny videos or simply see where you might be popping up next?
Well, we have a site www.EnemiesWithEverybody.com or add me on facebook www.Facebook.com/smurfroc. Oh yeah and I have a twitter "@BboySmurf" follow me or die.
